The first 2 weeks of school!

Faith had quite an eventful first two weeks of second grade. She had STREP THROAT on the second day of school and missed the rest of the first week! On her first day back to school she had an accident on the play ground...one of the other girls bounced her off the teeter totter. She was hit in the chin and mouth by the seat, leaving her with a swollen lip, large bruise to the chin, and a few loose teeth! She had a large chunk of skin on the inside of her mouth missing as well. I was worried that it had broken through but it is healing up fine. This weekend she has had a chance to complete all of her homework from when she missed and her bruise is turning yellow...Mary thinks it looks moldy! Lol. Faith is seated working on her homework at the dining table with Aunt Becca there for moral support. At least she is in a good mood for this picture...she was pretty irritable with doing homework this weekend...I also have a pic of her dressed up as Sharpay and she really likes to dress up. Too bad I missed getting pics of the cousins this weekend when they played dress up...here is one of Faith though.

Mary's first two weeks of school have been very uneventful. Since she's a teenager I don't expect much more than a grump and a groan regarding questions of school. She does however help so much around the house that we have started to refer to her as Cinderella which probably irritates her. She did do a good job at farmers market this weekend all though K. D. (Katie) was not there for moral support. Katie was at her house and was quite busy there; she usually comes over every Friday night and hangs out sometimes during the week whenever she feels like it and now she is basically my other daughter. This pic shows Mary - she has mastered the 'bored' look. She has some purple in her hair which was the only color that Caps would agree to. I was fine with it, teenagers need to express themselves sometimes....besides I think that it looks artsy. K.D. also has color in her hair, it started out turquoise but is now a greenish color - green is my favorite color so that is fine with me. With K.D.'s pixie cut it looks amazing!

Mom seemed to have a fair turn out with Grandma & Girls at farmers market. She did tons of baking on friday and lots of crafts during the week and seems to enjoy farmers market on Saturday mornings. She even made Raspberry Brownies which is Melinda and her daughter Katie's favorites. Mom made it in the paper as well and there was a pic of her with Mary...I will try to upload it from winfieldcourier.com

Becca was here this weekend we celebrated her birthday. I won't tell you how old she is but she looks 16 and I could probably pass as her mother. She seemed to have a good birthday, we made a mexican feast with my prize winning enchilada torte and tacos, tostadas, and taquitos! It was all delish and I am still very full.
I have a pic of Bub (Laura), Me and Bec that was taken a while ago, but we still look mostly the same :) I am sporting my Bill O'Reilly jacket - I love that guy :)

Bub and Scotty B. brought Dean to help us celebrate. Bub also brought Baskin Robbin's Ice Cream Pies for Becca's Birthday dessert which was nice so Becca didn't have to make her own dessert. Bub is PREGNANT so we couldn't drink and we got to enjoy the morning sickness along with her this morning before they drove back to Kansas City. A puke bucket was offered for the road however she was already prepared. Dean has seemed to age to a five year old due to the buzz cut provided by his father. All of the cute baby curls are gone...we wish the screaming was gone but he will grow up soon. He loves watching Kung Fu Panda with his Aunt Bunny (ME). His father Scott knows every word. I found some pics of Dean with his curls and without playing with Faith this weekend...so everyone can see what I am talking about. I kept telling Bub and Scott that he needed a hair cut. Soon he will be a big brother so he needs to stop being babied :)

Caps (dad) was here this weekend spent tons of time in the garden, helped with farmers market, mowed the lawn, watched movies with his daughters, and graduated from Six Sigma Black Belt. He says the only Black belts he ever met were a$$ holes. We told him it was time to break the mold and some one nice should have a black belt, so he has succeeded and we are all very very proud of him. Here is a pic with him seated in his favorite chair probably watching something on tv. He needs to have a chance to relax when he is at home!

This last picture is of Faith's build-a-bear puppy named Cutie she is dressed up in dress-up clothes as tinkerbell. I thought that it looked cute and so did Faith. It even has a wand and wings for the dog. Faith loves build-a-bear and spends time playing it on the computer.
